LSI MegaRAID FastPath software is a high-performance IO acceleratorfor Solid State Drive (SSD) arrays connected to a MegaRAIDcontroller card. This advanced software is an optimized version ofLSI MegaRAID technology that can dramatically boost storagesubsystem and overall application performance particularly thosethat demonstrate high random read/write operation workloads whendeployed with a 6Gb/s MegaRAID SATA+SAS controller connected toSSDs.

Individual SSDs can reachup to 45, 000 or more read IOPs compared to the fastest enterprisehard disk drives that can only reach up to a few hundred IOPs.
