RS700-E7/RS8 - High Performance 1U Server
The ASUS RS700-E7/RS8 1U server is based on dual Intel Socket Rseries processors (150W), designed with 24 DIMM slots to support upto 512GB memory. It features an optimized thermal design, up toeight hard drives, 2+1 expansion, high power efficiency, andcomplete storage flexibility.

Front Parallel CPU Design features better cooling
The ASUS RS700-E7/RS8 is designed with front parallel CPU andmemory placement, which helps air vent smoothly while reducingpower consumption. Shock absorbing mechanisms provide a foundationof reliability, and improve hard drive performance with theproprietary ASUS Shock Mount.

2+1 Expansion Slots
There are three expansion slots on the RS700-E7/RS8, including twoPCI Express 3.0 x16 slots and one slot for ASUS PIKE SAS RAIDupgrade kits, providing high scalability in a compact 1Uchassis.

Designed for Virtualization Applications
With 24 DIMM slots, the RS700-E7/RS8 supports up to 512GB memory(R-DIMM), which is crucial for virtualization and scalability. Onthe other hand, quad LAN teaming ports offer high networkingbandwidth with load balance and fault tolerance functions.

Massive Storage Capacity
Eight hot-swappable 2.5 SATA 6Gb/s or SAS 6Gb/s hard drives providelarge storage capacity with high availability and easymaintenance.

Up to 94% Power Efficiency
Outfitted with two 800W 80Plus Platinum power supplies, theRS700-E7/RS8 provides up to 94% power efficiency for HPCapplications. The hot-swap design allows the server to keep workingeven if one power supply requires service.

Comprehensive Storage - RAID
The RS700-E7/RS8 supports optional ASUS RAID PIKE upgrade kits. With just a PIKE riser card and a PIKE card, users can upgrade theserver from SATA to SAS storage by re-connecting the cable from theonboard SATA to the PIKE riser cards SAS port.

Complete Remote Server Management
With default web GUI-based ASMB6-iKVM module, users gain fullcontrol of the server with out-of-band management (IPMI 2.0standard) and 24/7 real-time remote monitoring. Meanwhile, ASWMEnterprise software provides one-to-multiple centralizedmanagement, including BIOS flash, remote control, power control, and asset management through a user-friendly interface.
